BEST Necklaces Trends for THIS and Next Season

So, yesterday it was earrings. Today, necklaces.

I personally believe necklaces are a bold statement of identity, a pretty visible one.

This is my selection of the best necklaces of Spring -Summer 2013 and Autumn-Winter 2013/4. Hope you like them as much as I do!

Alexis Mabille: Petites Seulement (Part 3)

Yellow, crazy diamonds!

Winner’s day today and I’m sure you’re dying to know what the winner design looks like!

Well, why make you wait? Here it is. The winner of the Top 3 of the Alexis Mabille’s Spring-Summer 2013 Haute Couture Collection:

3) Look C. Formal but feminine. It’s sort of the hybrid of the previous two looks, don’t you think? It includes the innocence of the third place and the seriousness of the second.

The flounces add this sort of royal and romantic air to the outfit, don’t they? Only high-class ladies wore them back when they were in vogue. The walking, as you might notice on the photo, gets enhanced by the delicate and caressing movement of the fabric with every step. Thanks to what? To the layers and the frills.

The amount of fabrics also serves the purpose of lengthening the figure, so you appear to be taller.

Now, the jacket, like the one on the second place, enlarges the torso. Why? Because of the belt at the waist, the buttons on the chest and the crossed neckline.

Pay attention to the way the lower part of the jacket embraces the hips: what does it do? It makes them look bigger.

An important thing to mention is the colour: white usually makes everything look larger than it really is. Again, this is why Mabille designs for petites, because his clothes provide them a silhouette.

Still, a pretty outstanding outfit, isn’t it? Would you wear it for a formal brunch?

Have a wonderful weekend, crazy diamonds. Here’s a challenge for you: I dare you to shine all over and dream on at least 17 times through Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Why? Because.

Take care. Lotta Love. Ciao!

What’s up, crazy diamonds!

Are you wowing everybody with your outfit today?

The model wearing the second place of the Top 3 of the week is! ; )

Ready or not, here it comes!

2) Look B. I’m loving this outfit because it’s elegant and serious but sexy at the same time. I mean, look at the aperture at the skirt for the leg. Wow.

Speaking of the leg-aperture, it isn’t there only to make you look hotter; it’s actual function is making you look taller. That’s right! Taller! Because it traces a vertical line that lengthens the body.

Like the previous post, this dress is better for slender figures. Why? Because of the buttons on the chest and the bags on the sides. They make the chest and the hips look larger. This effect is reinforced by the belt on the waist.

See the neckline? How it’s sort of crossed? That enlarges the torso, as well as the little v cleavage.

Also, the fabric is very heavy, so it frowns easily. Don’t believe me? Look at the model’s abs: it seems as if there was a weird bump right there; illogical really, because we all know how the bodies of the runway models are shaped up.

The sleeves are long and adhere to the arms so they appear longer and leaner, just like in the previous look.

What do you say? Would you buy it or not really?

If you ask me, the problem with these designs is that Mabille is too used to design for men, whose bodies are configured by straight lines, unlike women’s whose bodies are shaped by curves. Materials and cuts have to be reconsidered. I guess that’s why he designs for thin women, because they’re similar to males.

Well, I hope this post helped you see what to wear or what not to wear according to your complexion.

Keep on shinning and dreaming on, crazy diamonds. That’s the only way to live.

Take care. Lotta Love. Ciao!

Yellow, there!

How’s your day today, huh? Perfect, of course, and you know why? Because it’s Thursday! And Thursdays are “Winner’s Day”! And if you’re reading this you certainly are one of them ; )

Speaking of, ready to meet the winner of Ulyana Sergeenko’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2013 Collection Top 3?

Here it comes!

3) Look C. What a dress, ladies and gentlemen! What a dress! I mean, look at it! It’s the word gorgeous incarnated! * – *

Fabric. The colour of the fabric I just love. Green is the colour of the year and this one brings light to her face, making her features softer and taking years away from her face. Perfect for the season, obviously, I mean, spring equals vegetation and life and flowers and nature in general.

Cleavage/Neckline. Showing the elbows is usually a strategy to make the neck look longer, but it usually makes the ribcage look wider, that’s why there’s a long “V” cleavage on the way, to make the torso look longer and the ribcage small again.

High cut skirt/Waist. The cut at the waist marks it and hides the tummy if any. Also, makes her look taller. Same with the way the fabric falls: it forms vertical pledges that lengthen the figure.

So, happy with the winner? I really am.

It’s almost Friday, which means almost weekend, so brighten up and shine all over and dream on, crazy diamonds! Today’s quite a day!

Take Care. Lotta Love. Ciao!

Hi, hi!

How are you doing on this beautiful Wednesday??? Great, I hope!

Well, to match the beauty of the day, let’s bring the second place, shall we?

2) Look B. Oh, wow! Things I love about the outfit:

The hat. Hats this big can make anyone look like a lady. It brings up some shadows that mark our features and, in general, make them finer.

Scarf. The scarf is really long, creating two vertical lines all over the body and, therefore, giving the illusion of a taller and thinner person. Unfortunately, it shortens the neck, that’s why you have to wear them with a blouse with a low neckline.

Blouse. The low neckline and the shoulders uncovered make the torso look shorter. This effect is reinforced by the high cut skirt that starts right at the waist. Why a shorter torso? To bring out longer legs and seem taller. Still, she doesn’t look that tall because the pattern on the skirt is mainly shaped by horizontal stripes, that shorten us big time.

What do you say? Like it or not?

Time to leave, crazy diamonds! Now get up that chair and go out a bit to shine all over or sit a bit more and dream on. That’s a kind of exercise that will always make you feel better. Aaaand is an easy workout.

Take Care. Lotta Love. Ciao!

Ulyana Sergeenko: The New Kid On The Fashion Week (Part 1)

Hello, y’all!

How’s everything going today? Wonderfully, I hope!

So, this week we’ll be talking about Ulyana Sergeenko, the Russian designer who’s starting to make presence on Paris’ Fashion Week.

Want to check it out? Ok, then!

From Ulyana Sergeenko’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2013 collection, my Top 3:

1) Look A.  What a pretty dress! I mean, it’s perfect for the season! So light and casual! The fabric allows the skin to breathe and gives the body a lot of freedom to move as it pleases.

The long “V” cleavage makes her torso look longer, giving the illusion of a longer neck, a smaller ribcage, and a taller and thinner person.

The size of the sleeves is perfect because they make her arms look leaner and longer.

The bow on the waist accentuates the cleavage and the wideness of the hips.

The overture at the legs makes them look longer.

What do you think? Like it? And this is the third place!!!

Don’t miss us tomorrow to meet the second! ; )

Well, gotta go, crazy diamonds! Dream on and shine all over because otherwise life is REALLY boring.

Take Care. Lotta Love. Ciao!
