My favourites. Which one do you love the most?
Personally speaking, bags are one of my favourite accessories, only behind shoes.
So, as we all know wearing backpacks for school is outdated. My choices for college are usually maxi bags or messenger bags. Black or brown. They’re much easier to combine.
Here is a selection of the trending bag styles of this and next season. Marked with this logo are my Top 3.
Which one is your favourite?
7.1) Simpler is better. Complicated patterns on nails may be fun but… are they practical? And by practical I mean, are they easy to match?
7.2) Talking about lips, reds & pinks are classics and they always look fabulous (just find out which shade of red/pink apply better to your skin tone)
7.3) Lighter colours on the nails make all the little imperfections show up, so careful with that.
7.4) Check VOGUE/ELLE/HARPER’S BAZAAR once a month (minimum) to know what colours are trending. The favourites tend to be dark red (wine), dark purple, black, coral and nude.
6.1) Accessories that are mostly golden/silver are easier to match. If possible, keep them ONLY golden or silver.
6.2) Cuffs make your arms and wrists look slimmer.
6.3) If you prefer thin bracelets and your arms aren’t that thin, wear a bunch of them (5 will do).
6.4) Balance is basic. If you’re wearing a heavy necklace, then discrete earrings are the best option. And vice versa.
6.5) If your blouse is printed, then plain jewellery is a most.
6.6) Long necklaces make you look thinner. If it’s got a big pendant, better.
6.7) Multiple necklaces make your torso look smaller.
5.1) Clutches are quite formal, so match them to something their calibre (short suits, great dresses, high-cut long skirts, jeans with blazer/chemise).
5.2) Maxi-bags will make you look thinner.
5.3) Sling bags will make you taller.
5.4) Backpacks are cute if they’re delicate, simple, medium/small size and preferably made of black/bronze/chocolate coloured leather. Soft coloured floral prints may do as well.
5.5) Matching bag with shoes brings up pretty good results.
5.6) Opt for plain coloured bags (preferably without many ornaments). They’re easier to combine.
5.7) If the bag is too small, change it or throw stuff away.
